DTG Printing

Direct-to-garment printing is a lot like the office and home printers that you may be used to — just bigger. In order to print on textiles, a different type of ink is used, but a DTG printer uses the same back-and-forth ink application method that a standard paper printer uses.

First, the fabric of the t-shirt is treated with a liquid solution and smoothed out for ease of application. We then place the shirt on a rack to go through the printer more easily. We apply the print to the shirt, and then the t-shirt gets a heat treatment to seal the pigmentation (similar to screen-printing). Once we check the garments for quality, we send them to our happy customers.

This type of graphic application is just as durable as standard screen printing. The main difference to DTG printing is that there are many more customization opportunities due to the printer. Like a standard paper printer, art can be created and edited on a computer, and then sent to the printer to distribute the ink in a quick and efficient manner.
